KINOBE
A choral residency with Kinobe is a unique opportunity to introduce your choir to the rich tradition of African choral singing. Kinobe has scored many beautiful Ugandan songs for choral ensemble. Depending on the size and skill level of your choir, arrangements will be provided in unison or up to four parts, along with written scores, mp3s of each part, and an mp3 with sample accompaniment. As time allows, Kinobe can add African dance steps, kalimba, or drum parts. You will also have the opportunity to purchase traditional Ugandan fabrics for your choir to wear on stage. Schedule a concert and have Kinobe join your choir on stage for a truly memorable performance. More about Kinobe
TRIO GLOBO
Voices of the Earth - Music for Choir and Ensemble by Eugene Friesen
Voices of the Earth is a collection of choral compositions sharing a common insight: nature is our solace, inspiration, and responsibility. From Wendell Berry’s classic masterpiece “Sabbaths” come four settings for choir and cellos giving voice to Berry’s profound connection with land, self and spirit. The music is melodic and earnest, with echoes of early America as is Berry’s almost biblical language and viewpoint. Earth Requiem is a prayer for planetary rest (requiem) and praise for the beauty, freshness and diversity of all life. Concerts feature solo/trio performances by TRIO GLOBO with featured selections by singers, string players and percussionists from the partner organization. All choir repertoire accompanied by members of Trio Globo.
